    @fontana,I'm sick of answering your frequent indictments of my, # & #'s character. If you have accusations to make, make them.

    @fontana,like I have since I worked for #: I point out that ppl in proprietary software industry do some immoral things & some moral ones

    @lnxwalt280 @tekk, the !FSF is completely unique. Other orgs don't provide the moral software freedom compass that it does. Not by far.

    @fontana,& AFAICT you're only one who believe # © policy's problematic b/c it has exceptions. By your logic,I don't need to answer on it.

    @fontana, !FSF sometimes makes exceptions to include essential non-©A'd code in otherwise ©A'd project. eg: # + # & # + #

    @laforge, I'd point out as well: there would be little !GPL compliance on # in USA if not for # & !BusyBox ©ers using v2§4 this way.

    @rahulsundaram, take a look at how much !FSF said about # I worked there at the time & IIRC there were *two* things said in 5 years.

  12. Bradley M. Kuhn bkuhn

    @rahulsundaram, IMO Brian # is just wrong in his analysis of !FSF's !GPLv3 advocacy. I made a comment there: http://ur1.ca/4ygrz

    @mcepl, !FSF is currently focused on a campaign about a related problem: proprietary # applications downloaded into browser.

    @aseigo, I'd still be a guest on !Linux Action Show if they'd have me. I talked to them & they never followed up, yet they still attack !FSF

    @aseigo,I gave up on Linux Action Show when they started doing anti- !FSF rants w/out bothering to have someone on other side (I offered).

    @fontana, thanks to @brettcsmith's efforts, the companies you identified invoking !FSF's name to support their shady practices have stopped.

    @ossguy,I now theorize # designed insurance program to force !Conservancy & !FSF to sue more on !GPL to feed their FUD. !disturbing

    Given the !Debian birthday, I figure I should at least remind people that !FSF funded Ian # to work on Debian for a while.

    @fontana, this at least explains why Kim # of # was asking all those strange questions re: ☁ compliance at the !FSF fundraiser

    @fontana, I suggest you write email to @rms to make your case about your concerns about !FSF's copyright assignment process.

The Free Software Foundation, founded in 1985, is dedicated to promoting computer users' right to use, study, copy, modify, and redistribute computer programs. The FSF promotes the development and use of free (as in freedom) software -- particularly the GNU operating system and its GNU/Linux variants -- and free documentation for free software. The FSF also helps to spread awareness of the ethical and political issues of freedom in the use of software, and its Web sites, located at fsf.org and gnu.org, are an important source of information about GNU/Linux.
