@fontana, I think !Oracle released !OpenOffice under !Apache license specifically to subvert the copyleft of # #

I wish #'s law applied to anyone wanting to debate the !Apache !OpenOffice / !LibreOffice situation. I'm frankly sick of discussing it

@webmink, & # could do the same for !LibreOffice, right? Someone suggesting a stupid idea isn't the same as doing it. !Apache !OpenOffice

@webmink,my friends make fools of themselves all the time. If no one is hurt,it's no big deal & !Apache clearly can't hurt !LibreOffice here

@webmink, IMO !Apache makes fools of themselves trying to convince !LibreOffice to drop copyleft, & really, who cares if they look foolish?

@webmink, IMO !Apache makes fools of themselves trying to convince !LibreOffice to relicense from copyleft, & really, who cares if they do?

@idoric,Makes sense now: Effective !LibreOffice license is !LGPLv3 -only,new contributions are (LGPLv3-or-later|MPL). My orig. point stands.

@idoric, I asked a !LibreOffice bf. writing the post if was LGPLv3-only vs. LGPLv3-or-later & the developer said "only". I fixed blog though

@fabsh, yeah I'd certainly want to study more to verify a # really is needed for # is really needed, but seems reasonable

@fabsh, I think it'd be very good if #'s non-profit can ultimately fund developers. Sound like such is impossible w/ an e.V.

@vinzv, but what is an e.V. and how does it compare to what # is forming? I think that was the question that stumped @fabsh & me

LibreOffice is free software and therefore free to download , use and distribute.
